Prof. Dr. Peter Lehmann

Description

Course Overview

In this course, we create a data warehouse from scratch. We will access the extraction layer of an ERP system, upload the data into a Staging Area. From the Staging Area, the data will be integrated into the Operational Data Store (ODS). The Operational Data Store contains all the data records. We will discuss time dependencies, which are known als Slowly Changing Dimension. Then, we will create a Data Mart, which is based on a Star Schema. Later, we will create a data cube on top of a data mart.
